the sun is completely gone. ugh. i am so tired of winter! at least there was sun yesterday, one of the few things i really like about our new apartment is the south-facing bay window. it's not as big as the one at the last place, which was in the bedroom, so i could look out into the huge weeping willow next to the house and pretend i was in new orleans, especially last summer when the fireflies drifted through the dangling branches...
looking rather rengoth today. long-sleeved ruby crushed stretch velvet top under long sleeveless black crushed stretch velvet dress--the one i have had since i was 16. probably my first overtly "goth" clothing item. bought in kansas city at some shop in crown center. proof that certain things are timeless.
damn. i just had a call, but when i got to the phone, none of the little lights were on, so whoever it was (probably n) hung up. it's 1pm, i hope he's up by now. he was going to take care of the phone today, and he mentioned something about working, but i never know.

another lovely monday in nebraska. it was sunny this morning, but it was a cruel enticement to get me out of bed. still feel like crap. i slept all through fri. eve until 9 on sat morning. couldn't have gone anywhere if i had felt well anyway--we had a hideous ice storm. woke up to a thunderstorm sat. a.m.--then it poured rain, which melted all the ice from the night before. went to ma's to do laundry, n was allegedly at work. since he wasn't going to be home til late, i took my time. mostly messing on the web. it started snowing like crazy around 9:30, but i didn't think much of it, since it was just snow. the problem was, it quit, the wind came up and blew the snow across the wet streets and turned everything into a sheet of ice. at one point on the way home, i was only going 5mph. slid into the curb trying to turn on c st., but not hard. thank god there were no cars there. n & i ended up sleeping til after 1 yesterday, then i let him borrow the car. stupid, i know. especially since i have lost the front license plate somewhere (on top of not being able to find my driver's license... why does everything have to be f'd up at the same time? i can't cash my check without my id, but i can't get a new id without $. n says he'll come up with it, but since he hasn't come through with any actual cash lately, i'm not holding my breath.
