ah, the wonders of frozen food for the microwave... had an uncle ben's noodle bowl - spicy thai style chicken. pretty good for something like that. surprisingly spicy, usually mainstream versions of ethnic cuisine are blander for the proletarian palate's sake... but then again, your average hungry-man-salisbury-steak-&-mashed-potato type wouldn't buy something like that anyway....

finished reading Kage Baker's Mendoza in Hollywood and The Graveyard Game (I got them as a 2-in-1 from sci-fi bookclub). I love her stuff. I picked up In the Garden of Iden 3 years ago, by chance. I went into some tiny bookstore in Omaha, and the cover caught my eye (i'm so visually-oriented, i should have been a guy). I love time travel-type stuff. There's 3 or so episodes of The Outer Limits (the new ones, made by sci-fi) that deal with a company in the future sending people back to the past... very similar to the scenario of Kage Baker's books... they all have Alex Diakun in them, who was Dr. Fabricant in the "Lamentation" episode of Millennium (speaking of which, i'm incredibly pissed at fx, because they've stopped showing it--thankfully i got all the episodes on tape).

mmm. chicken in a biscuit. more genius american snack food. not that we have cornered the market... got some japanese rice crackers last night. i love those things, but i don't know why, they have an odd flavor, but are highly addictive.

i don't think the state of radio in lincoln could possible suck more... if only i could get the river (89.7) at work... but since its a college station, out of iowa, i doubt they'll ever up their signal...

eeck. how can people stand to drink red bull? i've been trying to cut back my coffee consumption, and i had a red bull from my ma's work. it was warm, so i poured it in a glass with ice. there's a reason why that stuff is sold in cans. it's resemblance in color to urine is remarkable. it must be the b vitamins in it. anyway, someone had described the flavor as being like grapefruit, but they must have messed up taste buds...

argh! my hair is so blonde! it's my own fault--i used the herbal essences bleach blonding kit... now I look like a female version of spike (with long hair, but I pull it back all the time) i really want purple hair, or at least a purple stripe, but i am too cheap to lay out $13 for raw color... all the cheaper purples i have seen are too red... i almost bought some got2be hair glue last night, but it was too pinky...
