A Syracuse man threw a cat from the window of his moving vehicle Monday because his girlfriend couldn't keep the pet any longer at her home, Onondaga County sheriff's deputies said.
David J. Simmons, 26, of 713 N. Salina St., was charged Tuesday with aggravated cruelty to an animal, a felony under the state Agriculture and Markets Law. Deputies also charged Simmons with misdemeanor counts of animal abandonment and overdriving, torturing and injuring an animal.
Sgt. John D'Eredita said an anonymous caller identified Simmons. "Onondaga County Water Authority workers found the female tiger cat Monday in a bloody pillowcase on Factory Avenue in Mattydale.
Despite having an eye removed and an eyelid sewn shut, the cat is eating and appears to be doing fine, a veterinarian said Tuesday.
"She's very loving, wants to be held all the time and is purring like crazy," said Dr. Holly Reid of the Beaver Lake Animal Hospital. "I'm sure she'll have no problem being adopted."
Veterinary bills for the cat's care are expected to total about $1,000. Donations can be sent to the Central New York chapter of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at 5878 E. Molloy Road, Syracuse 13211.
What's so hard about taking the cat to a shelter?!?! If the woman who owned the cat has any sense at all, she'll run as far away from this f*ck as she can, because he's obviously a disturbed piece of sh*t... If she doesn't, neither of them should be allowed to breed, because a sick f*ck like that shouldn't be near children (or animals).

I'm so tired of these right-to-life nazis... what right does some jackass have to tell a woman she can't have contraceptives that were prescribed to her by a dr? "Every sperm is sacred..." All "pro life" men should be forcibly implanted with uteri & fetuses and forced to carry them to term... then maybe they'd shut up.
I wish the "Rapture" would come and take all these fundy freaks away, then the rest of us can enjoy life in peace....
