back from lunch. stuff i've been waiting to work on finally got here. yeehaw. now i actually have to WORK!
ended up going to Osco... and bought 4 bottles of al-kee-hol. what a lush i am!... actually, it was a bottle of Albertson's coffee liqueur, 2 bottles of their amaretto (no sense wasting the Disaronno in amaretto sours... that's for on- the-rocks sipping only), and a bottle of Raspberry di Amore, on clearance for $9-something, because I've always wanted to try it. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Makes me want to go sit in my car and get toasted on liqueur.... hell, we've got diet 7-up in one of the machines.....
Whee. I could go see Superjoint Ritual at the Grove Friday night... an evening of Phil Anselmo strung out. What fun. In my favoritest place in the whole world. Not.

random observations of a culinary nature.... I've discovered Baci, bittersweet chocolate with whole & chopped hazelnuts, made by Perugina in Italy for Nestlé. I found them at Wal-Mart, of all places. (I know I shouldn't shop there, but my social conscience is overwhelmed by my lack of caysh... I guess I'm just a tool of the capitalist regime... I try to compensate for it by shopping local businesses when I can afford it...) I'm forever on a quest for affordable, readily available quality chocolate... the plebian American palate's preference for milk chocolate makes this difficult, especially now with the carb crap, the focus seems to be on making "low carb" chocolate, no matter how disgusting it tastes. Hershey's has been making dark chocolate kisses, but I think it's basically Special Dark in kiss form. I do like the Dove Promises, but so many places only carry the milk chocolate kind!
the other yummy thing I've been indulging in is blueberry green tea. AriZona makes it ready-to-drink, but it's hard to find, and, typical for commercially made teas, too sweet. So I make my own with Celestial Seasonings True Blueberry and either reg or decaf green tea. It's much cheaper, and I can make decaf if I want....
time to go to lunch! it's payday, so i've got cash my check, get money orders to pay my bills, and do a bit of shopping perhaps. i went to the white trash (family dollar) discount store last payday, so I don't need to go there... I wish Target were closer, they have several things I need... it's the wrong direction from the bank, though... decisions, decisions....
