Haven't posted here in ages...most of my writing has been private stuff, just because. Coming off the rainiest May in recorded Nebraska history, June is already turning out to be pretty soggy as well. 4 days in and we've have 3 days of rain. The rain on the roof here sounds like being inside a car wash. ~~~~ matcha lattés with coconut milk are the shiz.

my town is going to hell...last week 2 guys robbed a check cashing store 5 blocks from my house in broad daylight...the head shop down the street that sells K2 was burglarized for the 3rd time in 3 months...then there's ... this

Omaha police find girl, 4, caring for baby sisters

OMAHA -- Omaha police say that after a tip from a neighbor, they found a 4-year-old girl caring for her 1-year-old twin sisters at their home. Their mother had left them there, alone.

The neighbor says the little girl had called several times on Monday, saying that her mother had left them home alone.

Police spokesman Mike Pecha told KMTV in Omaha that the mother's mother told officers that her daughter likes to party.

The mother didn't come home Monday night, and police didn't find her until Thursday.

Twenty-two-year-old Amber Singleton was arrested on three counts of misdemeanor child neglect.

The publicly listed phone for Singleton is no longer in service. Court records don't yet list her attorney's name.

My husband just gave me an ipod touch. It is awesome. It does everything an iphone does (without the phone or camera, but I have a camera phone & I can email my pix from my phone anyway). What I love is being able to access full sites (facebook, myspace, and diaryland, YouTube) without a computer because it has wireless Internet. I just have to get used to the ol' hunt & peck method of data entry. Man, I love technology (& my husband of course)

CSI: has been my favorite show for several years, but I have to say I don't know if I will keep watching after William Petersen leaves... after Sarah leaving and Warrick being killed off, it's a bit much. It's too bad they had to kill off Liev Schrieber's character, because they can't bring him back... it seemed there was a bit of chemistry between his character and Catherine's, but I guess he was just too tortured by his past.

I hope they don't mess with CSI:NY -- I really like Gary Sinise and the rest of the actors on it.

I'm looking forward to Eleventh Hour and The Mentalist, though I'm hesitant to get emotionally invested in TV shows anymore, after Jericho, Journeyman, and New Amsterdam.

Glad to see Eli Stone, Pushing Daisies, and Dirty Sexy Money are coming back. Last year, ABC seemed to have the best new shows, but this fall it looks like CBS has more interesting new shows.
